The Wedding

Stephen and his mum discovered the place on their hunt for the wedding venue. Unlike other conventional wedding locations, Fisherman's Retreat offers a stunning view of the town of Ramsbottom, the beautiful greenery surroundings of the Rossendale valley and the best food in town.

What we want for a wedding venue is a countryside look, a relaxing and non-traditional setup so that we could have an unusual wedding with a lot of fun. And Fisherman's Retreat could do all that.

The Fisherman’s Retreat is nestled in Twine Valley at the edge of the Pennine hills, three miles east of the town of Ramsbottom. There is no passing traffic, bar the occasional hot air balloon.

Wedding

Wedding ceremonies can be held either in the spacious Valley Suite which is enhanced by an amazing feature wall of glass with stunning panoramic views of surrounding countryside, or in the more intimate Nuttall Room, complete with a cosy wood-burning stove, perfect for a romantic winter wedding. 

Food

The Fisherman’s Retreat prides itself on sourcing and supporting local producers where possible, our aim is to provide an exceptional standard of food freshly prepared by out team of chefs.

Whisky

We have one of the best single malt whisky bars in the world – with over 300 quality Scottish single malt whiskies, all available by the dram or bottle. We also host regular whisky tastings throughout the winter months.
